Gary Ward - DCTV Project Coordinator "It was really useful for the students to learn about developing narrative structure. It was satisfying for the students to be able to edit a two-hour interview into a comprehensive format and producing a consumable narrative." |

Ryam Zaid "I really enjoyed reading the stories in "Hello Luton, My New Home" from those very upbeat to those more suspicious, all emotions are accurately conveyed, which I feel is an honest representation of such a cosmopolitan city. It is a far more truthful brochure of Luton's community that the contrived leaflets I could find in the tourist shop." If the opportunity exists, I would really enjoy doing on of these interviews. It sounds like a really fun way to spend an afternoon." |

John Hutcheson "It is so important that we remember where we come from and to know and understand other people and to learn about their culture and where they came from. That is what makes this exhibition so worthwhile." |

John Dean "Siriphan's transcripton was very emotional, it was the first time in a long time I was jealous of another person's strength and faith. If you get the chance do mention that I was touched by her story." |

Volunteer: Lydia Howe - The Little Book of Hopes and Dreams "At first, it was quite a challenge for me to use editing software such as Photoshop to design and create the book. I especially enjoyed illustrating the pictures, corresponding with the theme of Hopes and Dreams and seeing where it fitted together to produce a final outcome. It enables people to gain insight into the work of the Luton Voices project and the Hopes and Dreams of Luton's diverse cultural community" |

Volunteer: Lydia Howe - Portrait Work "I really enjoyed working on this project, as it enabled me to express my artistic and creatvie side while engaging in something that provided anadditional and creative element to the Luton Voices project. Through meeting some of the interviewees I drew portraits of, I was able to show them my art." |

Volunteer: Lydia Howe - Poetic Representations "It was a great experience to transfer these experiences into a poetic format as it creates a moving account of their life expereinces." |
|
Volunteer: Jade Taaffe - Interviews "I read more interviews and with each one I realised a little more of how important it is to listen to the community around us. It made me feel like I was making a difference with this project. It turned out that there was so much I could do. Things that really interest me too: photography, illustration, interviews, writing and things in the community I've never even heard of." |

Volunteer: Sahid Khan "I come to Luton Voices for 3 things: to learn, for the history of the town, and to see everyone." |
